About

Origin

In the heart of Sydney, with its iconic landmarks and vibrant celebrations like Mardi Gras, a niche yet passionate latex community was yearning to emerge. It was 2018 when Pete, our founding member, recognized this desire. From the simple beginnings of a backyard barbecue, Sydney Rubber was born. It was a rubber group with a vision of inclusivity right from the start.

While many groups globally adopted the “rubbermen” moniker, Pete saw Sydney Rubber as a place where every lover of latex, irrespective of gender or sexuality, could find camaraderie, share experiences, and celebrate their unique passion.

Our Mission

Sydney Rubber thrives on two core principles: inclusivity and celebration. Our aim is to foster an environment where everyone feels welcome and cherished. Through organizing and promoting a range of rubber events, we strive to bring the latex-loving community closer, giving everyone their chance to shine.

Our Emblem

The Sydney Rubber logo is a striking fusion of color and symbolism. The shield’s dominant black and yellow hues echo the rubber pride flag. In its heart, a series of stripes encapsulate the vibrant spirit of the latex community.

But what sets our emblem apart is its nod to Sydney’s iconic landmarks. Silhouettes of the Sydney Opera House sails and Sydney Tower rise at its crest- symbolising our roots and our pride in our dynamic city.
