Happy New Year Sydney Rubber!
2025 was a cracker year for Sydney Rubber. Thank you all for being part of it.
Our regular rubber socials have kept going strong. They continue to be a relaxed place to meet other rubber folk, dress up or dress down, and just enjoy a lovely shiny Sunday arvo!
We welcomed back Rubber Bastard and brought the shine with not one but two shine stations, keeping everyone glossy at both Rubber Bastard and Inquisition, oh and a mini shine station at Eagle too! (Thanks Rob). There is nothing better than helping someone look their best and feel confident at a party, and we loved seeing so many rubber lovers connect and find their people.
A bunch of us headed down to Melbourne for Slick where we cheered on the Melbourne Rubber 2025 contestants, celebrated Kitty Obsidian’s win, and caught up with friends from around Australia and overseas. It was amazing seeing our community come together, proud!
Then we brought the excitement home with our first ever MIR Watch Party. What a day! We shared the moment together on the big screen, and celebrated as Elliott Eve brought it home, as the first Aussie to win MIR. We are already keen to run it again next year. Maybe YOU could represent Sydney Rubber on next year’s MIR stage! We’re here for it!
Looking ahead, we have been preparing to incorporate in 2026 so we can grow, organise more events, and represent the rubber community properly. Thank you to everyone who has filled out the survey already. It’ll be incredibly helpful to our planning into the new year!
